WALKABOUT WITH COUNCILLORS AND KEITH NAISH FROM STREETCARE TO IDENTIFY GROT SPOTS TOMORROW FRIDAY

A bit short notice I’m afraid, but for those of you who can make it tomorrow at 8.30am at the train station, Jim Dickson (HHCouncillor) has arranged a walkabout  to identify local grot spots with Keith Naish – the freshview project manager, Tim has been banging on about the state of Gordon Grove in particular for a long time but we will also be looking at other areas too.

For those of you who cant make it perhaps you can leave a comment about your least favorite spots in Loughborough Junction.  We will make sure your comments get to Jim Dickson.

I’m with Tim, Gordon Grove has become a filthy tip over the recent months.

  1. Good idea, but short notice. I will try to come, but If I can’t make it I would like to draw your (his) attention to the top of Flaxman Road, outside the railway arch, first on your left, this corner has been turned into a public urinal .. opposite the secondhand furniture dumping corner

  2. the paving stones at the entrance near loughborough junction train
station, and the overgrown grass by the hoardings on the corner of
coldharbour & hinton roads are worth a look.

  3. The proposed development of flats and a supermarket at the bottom of Hinton Road is an excellent idea. This whole area, especially the furniture shop is an eyesore and enough to put anyone off coming to the area. Any idea how long this will take?.
Also, the patch of grass with the bit of hedge stuck in the middle opposite this area is neglected, cant we even have a tree for goodness sake!
