Loughborough Park development

Loughborough Park is a pretty, but little-known park in the Loughborough Junction area.  It is situated in the triangle Loughborough Park, Coldharbour Lane and Moorland Road with entrances on Loughborough Park and Moorland Road.
Lambeth has recently commissioned a feasibility study from Groundwork which has many good suggestions about improvement which could be made to the park.  These include:
1.    a growing project
2.    a sensory garden
3.    a new natural children’s playground
4.    improved facilities for teenagers.
The full report is available on the following link:
The Friends of Loughborough Park is now looking for people who would be interested in forming a working party to take these proposals forward.  In addition councillor Rachel Heywood has asked the friends to run an activity day on Saturday 30 October in the park with MP Tessa Jowell in order to raise the profile of the park, and the friends are looking for help with this too.

Many thanks

The Loughborough Junction Forum is a grassroots organisation set up by local people to provide all members of the community with a way to improve the Loughborough Junction area. It is intended that it provides eyes, ears and a collective voice for the community. All participants are invited to provide accounts of what they see happening within the area and to share their concerns and ideas with the forum so that they can be collated and channelled to the relevant authorities.
